Together with our partner National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana we analyzed and tested 7 kWh battery pack with type A123 ANR26650 battery cells.
We did the following operations:
- set up a measuring system with BMS, charger and discharge load for battery subsystem of 100 cells each
- analyzed some cells impendance with impendance spectroscopy
- analyzed some cells contacts with EDX element analysis
- made several charge and discharge cycles (constant and changing load) on subsystems
- analyzed each subsystem and compared their output in between them
In this way we are able to check:
- electrical characteristics of battery cell producer,
- chemical characteristics of cell contacts on + and – pole
- constant and changing conditions with different cycle loads on each subsystem several times
